FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Got questions? You're in the right place!
How do I book a service?
Simply get in touch through my website to let me know which service you’re interested in, your location and the dates you need. I’ll confirm my availability and arrange a free Meet & Greet before your first booking.
Do I need a Meet & Greet before my first booking?
Yes. A free Meet & Greet is required for all new clients before care begins. It gives me the chance to meet you and your pets, learn about their routine and individual needs, and make sure we have everything organised before their first visit.
What happens at the free Meet & Greet?
We’ll start by giving your pets some time to meet me and get comfortable. We’ll then chat about their routine, personality, behaviour and care needs before going through where their food, leads, litter, medication and other essentials are kept. We’ll also organise home access, discuss any important instructions and answer any questions you may have.
What information do I need to provide before care begins?
You’ll need to complete a Client Information Form and a Pet Information Form for each pet before care begins. These include important details about your pet’s routine, behaviour and care needs, as well as your contact information, vet details, emergency contact and your pet’s microchip information.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking at least one week in advance wherever possible. This allows enough time to confirm availability, arrange a Meet & Greet if required and make sure everything is organised before care begins. Holiday periods can book up earlier, so advance bookings are always encouraged.
Can I make a last-minute booking?
Last-minute bookings may be available depending on my schedule. For new clients, a Meet & Greet and all required information must still be completed before care can begin, so I can’t guarantee that short-notice requests can be accommodated.

Services & Care
What’s included in your pet care services?
Each service is tailored to your pet and the time booked. Dog walks and pet visits may include walking, feeding, fresh water, toileting or litter care, playtime, enrichment and plenty of pats and cuddles.
Pawsome Day Stay provides longer in-home companionship and care for pets who need someone with them for an extended period, with their usual routine, meals, playtime, enrichment and plenty of company throughout the stay.
You’ll also receive a personalised Pet Report Card with photos after each service, along with a GPS-tracked walk map for dog walks.
Absolutely. I understand that some pets need a little more time and space to feel comfortable with someone new. I’ll work at your pet’s pace and take the time to build trust without forcing interaction. This is also something we can discuss during the Meet & Greet so we can plan an approach that best suits your pet.
Yes, I can administer basic medication as part of your pet’s visit, provided clear instructions are supplied and your pet is comfortable being medicated. Any medication requirements will be discussed during the Meet & Greet to make sure I’m comfortable safely providing the care your pet needs.
For safety, dogs are kept on-lead unless we have developed an established relationship and off-lead walking has been specifically discussed and approved with you. Your dog’s behaviour, recall and the walking environment will always be considered before any off-lead walking takes place.
Will I receive updates while my pet is in your care?
What happens if my pet becomes sick or there is an emergency?
What happens in extreme weather or if it’s too hot to walk my dog?
Absolutely! After each visit, you’ll receive a personalised Pet Report Card with photos and an update on how your pet is doing. For dog walks, you’ll also receive a GPS-tracked walk map so you can see where we explored together. This helps you stay connected and gives you peace of mind while your pet is in my care.
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always come first. If I notice anything unusual or have concerns about your pet, I’ll contact you as soon as possible. If urgent veterinary attention is required and I’m unable to reach you, I’ll follow the emergency and veterinary information you provided and seek appropriate veterinary care where necessary.
Your dog’s safety will always come before completing a scheduled walk. In extreme heat, storms or other unsafe weather conditions, walks may be shortened, adjusted or replaced with indoor play, enrichment and companionship for the remainder of the booked time.
Where possible, I’ll also adjust the walk to suit the conditions, such as choosing shaded areas and avoiding hot surfaces. I’ll keep you updated if your pet’s usual service needs to be changed due to the weather.
